The good stuff

The rape plant is part of the kale, turnip and broccoli family and is mainly grown for its seeds, which are crushed to make canola or rapeseed oil. However, the leaves are bitter and peppery and wonderful to cook with.

How to eat?

Saute with garlic and chilli and add to other steamed or roasted vegetables like broccoli, which it goes particularly well with.
