Capsanthin is the plant compound and antioxidant that gives these chillies their red colour. It also contains capsaicin which is said to have fat-burning properties and may promote a reduced calorie intake.
How to eat?
Create a chilli paste by processing red chillies, nuts, olive oil and other spices. You can also chop and throw into a curry for added heat.
