The good stuff
Their shape resembles the brain, so it’s no surprise that walnuts are good for brain health. They’re the only nut to contain significant amounts of the omega-3 fat called alpha-linolenic acid which is excellent for heart health, and they have more antioxidants than many other foods. Be careful not to consume too many, however, as they can contribute to weight gain if eaten in excess.
How to eat?
An essential ingredient in a Waldorf salad, walnuts can also be used in pesto, granola and desserts.
